I am also a regional editor for the Nub News media company which is based in London but runs hyper-local websites in different parts of England and Wales.

The aim of Nub News is to focus in on towns that are perhaps not well served by a local newspaper - or a weekly title that has become part of a bigger network of titles.

I currently run three sites in the East Midlands, covering Ashby de la Zouch, Coalville and Swadlincote.

These have proved popular despite only starting in December 2019, and are getting a great response from the community in those areas.

I cover everything from Town Council meetings to the latest sports results and aim to provide as detailed coverage as possible of events in those towns.

The concept is growing all the time and Nub News is constantly on the lookout for new writers.

In fact, we encourage the public to pen their own articles - it could be about anything connected with the town - and send them to us via the ‘Nub It’ button which can be found on our sites.
